About Trayly

Built to make eating out easier to track.

Trayly is an independent nutrition app for iPhone, created in Berlin by Jan Burzinski and Benoît Jaenisch. We started it to solve a practical problem: calorie and macro tracking works reasonably well at home, but becomes slow and uncertain as soon as someone orders delivery or sits down in a restaurant.

What we are building

Trayly brings restaurant and delivery menus, meal logging, and AI-assisted nutrition estimates into one place. People can search supported menus, scan a printed menu, photograph a meal or label, use a barcode, or describe what they ate. The app estimates calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and ingredients, then lets the user review the result before saving it. Personal goals and optional Apple Health data help put each meal in context.

How we approach estimates

Restaurant recipes, cooking fats, sauces, and portion sizes vary. A photo or menu description cannot reveal every detail, so Trayly presents nutrition values as estimates rather than laboratory measurements. Users remain in control and can check or adjust values before logging. Trayly is intended for everyday fitness and nutrition tracking, not medical diagnosis, allergy decisions, or professional dietary treatment.
